Last week, I won a Queensland Writers Fellowship at the 2023 Queensland Literary Awards! Many thanks to the State Library of Queensland, and to the judges for their faith in my work-in-progress (DOOR 64) and to Angela Slatter https://www.angelaslatter.com/ for urging me to apply and to my writing buddies who read early pages and told me DOOR 64 does not entirely suck!

AND THIS WEEK: I have won a 2024 Varuna Residential Fellowship! This fully-funded two-week residency—kindly supported by an alumna of Varuna who has experienced what it means to balance life as a carer with writing—means so much to me. It will be my first time away on my own in 21 years! To write! All day, all night! Thank you, Writers’ House. xx
